State authorities and institutions from the public sector in the Republic of North Macedonia accept integrity as the basis of good governance and a strategic and sustainable response to corruption.
The integrity system is established in a way to enable state authorities and institutions from the public sector to carry out their competence, respecting the laws and in accordance with the highest ethical standards.
Integrity is essential to economic, social and societal prosperity. By integrity is meant the legal, independent, impartial, ethical, responsible and transparent performance of work with which officials protect their reputation and the reputation of the institution in which they are responsible, i.e. they are employed, eliminate risks and remove doubts about the possibility of occurrence and development of corruption and thereby ensure citizens' trust in the performance of public functions and in the work of public institutions.
