(6 October 2014): Today, the Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Nurhan Izairi, the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Dr.Milorad Jovanovski and the Mayor of the City of Skopje Koce Trajanovski addressed the celebration marking the jubilee 65 anniversary from the commencement of the work of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, when the first lecture was held for civil engineering students in the Amphitheatre of the then Technical Faculty.
- The long lasting cooperation between the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planningand the Faculty of Civil Engineeringhas always been highly esteemed and fruitful for both parties. In this regard, scientific work and application of applicative and practical projects were encouraged with particular attention and these were often projects of national importance implemented thanks to our joint efforts, said Minister Izairi in his address.
Dean Jovanovski underlined: Owing to our cooperation with our friends, construction is currently highly valued activity and around 30% of the social products results from activities in this sector.
Mayor Trajanovski stressed that the present appearance of the City of Skopje is largely due to the close and deep cooperation between the City and the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
In the ceremonial part of awarding acknowledgements, awards and scholarships, Dean Jovanovski, on behalf of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, handed Minister Izairi a testimonial for the years lasting fruitful cooperation between the two institutions.
