On the eve of the upcoming 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will be held in Dubai in December 2023, a meeting was held today with the permanent coordinator of the United Nations in the Republic of North Macedonia, Rossana Dudziak.
At the meeting, Minister Shukova informed about the activities and expectations from the upcoming Conference, thanking the UN for all the supporting activities in the implementation of the obligations towards the Convention and other broader activities that are carried out in partnership with the UN, and are aimed at supporting the goals of the Convention in the area of water resource management, agriculture, biodiversity and desertification reduction.
The previous cooperation was jointly evaluated as very successful and the willingness of both sides to continue and improve it in the areas of mutual interest, such as the sustainable management of the Ohrid coastal region, was expressed.
